Dohop, a leading travel technology company based in Iceland, wanted to enrich its ancillary offering for travellers while generating new revenue. As a provider of virtual interline (VI) flight connections, Dohop sought a solution that would give customers more confidence when booking multi-airline itineraries and improve the overall customer experience.

The Solution

Dohop partnered with Protect Group to embed Refund Protect into their VI flight booking experience, allowing travellers to upgrade to a refundable booking. The solution was seamlessly integrated and fully aligned with Dohop’s focus on innovation, flexibility, and trust.

The Result

Refund Protect delivered over $400,000 in new revenue for Dohop in 2024 and protected over 32,000 bookings since launch. The product continues to scale rapidly, protecting over $7.6 million in bookings in Q1 and Q2 of 2025.
